Professional Service and Participation

  • Serve as treasurer for SISLT’s Learning Technologies Graduate Student Association. Accomplishments in this role include creating a bank account for our organization and accessing available funds through MU’s OrgSync to help student colleagues defray travel costs to professional meetings.
  • Serve as a member of the American Academy of Medical College’s Central Group on Educational Affairs Technology in Medical Education Special Interest Group.
  • Attended the 2015 Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE) conference and presented the following poster: Evaluating a Re-evaluation Request Web Application at the University of Missouri School of Medicine.
  • Attended the 2014 Central Group on Educational Affairs regional conference and presented the following poster: Exploring the Value of a Resident-led Team Huddle on an Inpatient Medicine Unit.
  • Attended the 2014 Reynolds Grantee Meeting and co-facilitated the following workshop: Taking your Institution’s IPE to the Next Level: Using IPEC Competencies to Develop and Improve Interprofessional Education.
  • Attended the 2013 Reynolds Grantee Meeting and co-facilitated the following workshop: Identifying the Essential Elements of Effective Interprofessional Communication.
  • Attended the 2012 Reynolds Grantee Meeting and co-facilitated the following workshop: Developing Longitudinal Geriatrics Programs for Medical Students: IPEC Competency-Driven Planning Workshop.
  • Attended the 2012 Central Group on Educational Affairs regional conference and co-facilitated the following workshop: Will our students be able to care for granny? Developing geriatric cases as objective structured clinical exam (OSCE’S) to assess third-year students’ knowledge and skills in delivering patient centered geriatric care.
